California Vacation June 2011, Day 5

We spent Wednesday on the beach, then went to Pirate Adventure Dinner that evening. Mom and I went for a long walk to the pier. I sunbathed for too long and got a burn. It's difficult to gauge when I've been out too long when I'm not even hot. This is the pier.

Janice joined us for dinner. It was fun. The boys enjoyed it more than I did. There was some slap-stick humor that is always a hit with my 4 and 6-year-old. They both reminded me tonight about the purple pirate singing, "Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?" After the audience sang, "Sponge Bob Square Pants," he claimed he didn't know what that meant, but everyone seemed to know it. Paul is ready for his pirate adventure in the hat Amina bought him.
