History According to TJ

Coker quizzed the boys on Thanksgiving-related history at dinner.  TJ began to explain the story of the pilgrims and the Mayflower.  He did an excellent job, except for the part about landing at Fraggle Rock.

School Carnival

The Fall Carnival was bigger than ever!  Paul and TJ battled each other on the bouncer.

They were on the same team for Laser Tag.

TJ enjoyed the petting zoo

...and the pony ride.

TJ grins with some friends from his class, Talon and Autumn.

Halloween 2013

TJ requested a special Halloween dinner, so we had swamp soup, stuffed bell pepper jack-o-lanterns and mummy dogs.  At least Paul and TJ ate the mummy dogs.  I'm glad my mom and dad were there to help make it worth cooking.

We play up the Roswell name this time of year.

My dad took this picture.  I love any picture with this sweet smile on Paul's face!

Coker in his cast manned the door handing out candy while we trick-or-treated.  TJ took over when we got back.  My parents were on hand to hang out and help.  We had a fun evening!

Costumes

Paul wanted a scary costume this year, but I was against it.  We compromised on a "Morphsuit."  He was funny in this skin-tight body suit.  I had to teach him how to put on pantyhose to get it on!

TJ chose this Uncle Sam costume.  He liked the beard.  One of the ladies at trunk-or-treat at church asked him to salute, and I had to teach him what a salute is.  I'm not sure he understands who or what Uncle Sam is.  In explaining, I wonder if I do.

The Uncle Sam costume converts to what Coker calls a "Magic Mike" costume.

Telephone Game

Coker informed me that the stock market will be closed tomorrow because of the hurricane on the east coast.  TJ said, "Oh no, now we can't get more socks."

Monster Parade!

The kindergarten has a Monster Parade every year.  TJ chose to be a space monster.

The older kids make Science Hats this time of year, so I got a picture of the boys together with their creations.

These pictures on the parade route through the hall at school are a little blurry - maybe I'll get the hang of taking pictures while videoing!
